The UIA is a leading provider of information about international non-profit organizations. The aim of the Open Yearbook is to promote the activities of international non-governmental organizations (INGOs) and intergovernmental organizations (IGOs).

History

Follow-up project, ECUP II, started 15 Jan 1996, for 3 years. Project completed 31 Dec 1998.

Aims

Discuss user rights in electronic services and model clauses for licenses for the use of electronic information with a large group of rightholders, collecting societies and subscription agents; make librarians aware of the implications of copyright on electronic services and introduce the results of the discussions with the rightholders, collecting societies and subscription agents; establish a focal point for questions on copyright and information on EU legislative development in this area; reinforce the position of libraries in discussions about copyright issues with the appropriate bodies.
