Stimulate good relations between non-governmental organizations dealing with migration issues in Europe; keep the European institutions, in particular the Council of Europe and the European Community, as well as the institutions of the African, Caribbean and Pacific countries associated with the European Community, informed of migration problems in Europe; support associations of immigrants as well as organizations of refugees, exiles and foreign students in Europe in the common struggle against racism and xenophobia, and for the promotion of equal rights and opportunities.
