The UIA is a leading provider of information about international non-profit organizations. The aim of the Open Yearbook is to promote the activities of international non-governmental organizations (INGOs) and intergovernmental organizations (IGOs).

1995-01-28 Moscow Russia
History
28 Jan 1995, Moscow (Russia), on signature of documents by Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan; open to other member states of F-XF2417 - Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS). Union would be set up in 2 stages: unification of trade regimes and customs regulations and lifting of restrictions in mutual trade (commencing 1995); formal unification in a single customs zone. Oct 2000 transformed into H-XD8686 - Eurasian Economic Community (EurAseC).
Aims
Create a single customs zone within which members unify economic, monetary and foreign trade policies along the lines of market reform.
