1 Jan 1964, Prague (Czech Rep), by the Permanent Agricultural Commission of the previous H-XC0432 - Council for Mutual Economic Assistance (CMEA), as International Centre of Information in Agriculture and Forestry. Reorganized in 1973 when the name MS AGROINFORM was adopted. Present name adopted in Sep 1988. Ceased to exist following dissolution of CMEA.
Raise efficiency of international cooperation in scientific-technical information, according to the needs of users; eliminate overlapping in information activities; ensure mutual assistance in the development of national information systems for agriculture and forestry.
