Promote chemistry and chemical engineering in Europe; influence the future strategies of the European Commission, other European groupings and national bodies; provide Europe with a highly effective and reliable single voice on matters of mutual importance to industry, academia and government; identify and promote fruitful avenues of research that will ultimately lead to a more sustainable world; seek innovation in chemical sciences by promoting interaction with other branches of science and technology; provide input in the development of a European R and TD policy; stimulate a more innovative approach to scientific education and training; attract high quality human resources and funding for molecular sciences and related technologies throughout the enlarged Europe; promote public understanding of the benefits of molecular sciences and technologies; promote public awareness of chemistry and the chemical industry as major contributors to health, wealth and employment; promote creation of infrastructure that will sustain a chemical industry that is capable of meeting the needs of people throughout an enlarged Europe.
