Aims

Conceptualize, clarify, elaborate and define Islamic key concepts relevant to current cultural, educational, scientific and epistemological problems encountered by Muslims; provide an Islamic response to intellectual and cultural challenges of the modern world and various schools of thought, religions and ideologies; formulate an Islamic philosophy of science; study the meaning and philosophy of Islamic art and architecture; provide guidance for Islamization of arts and art education; conduct research, study and writings on Islamic civilization in the Malay world; provide for graduate and post-graduate studies and research so as to train scholars and intellectual leaders to play a creative role in the restoration of Islamic civilization to its rightful place in the modern world.
