Jul 1989, at first meeting, under the auspices of U-XU7970 - International Institute for Ethical and Legal Studies on the New Biology, Milazzo (ISENB). Also referred to by initials IALES. Registered in accordance with French law.
Aims
Create a network of people interested in ethical, legal and social questions raised by scientific developments; encourage exchange of information and experience; work and develop activities to bring about better understanding of the relationship between mankind, science and society; contribute directly or through members to the activities of national and international organizations; make available objective elements seen from a multidisciplinary point of view so as to enable a democratic and serene debate; act in the framework of developing the philosophy and spirit of human rights.
