History
1980, as Programa Cooperativo para el Desarrollo Tecnológico Agropecuario del Cono Sur, following a technical cooperation agreement between E-XE1083 - Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture (IICA) and countries in the region. Previously also referred to in English as Cooperative Program for the Agri-Food and Agro-Industrial Technological Development of the Southern Cone.
Aims
Provide answers to the technological demands of member countries, in order to increase internal and external competitiveness of the farming and agro-industrial sector.
