History

Established at Founding General Assembly, in accordance with resolution No 15/31-C, adopted by 31st Session of the Islamic Conference of Foreign Ministers, held 14-16 June 2004, Istanbul (Turkey); granted with the status of affiliated institution to C-XC4129 - Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) through resolution No 3/32-C adopted by 32nd Session of the Islamic Conference of Foreign Ministers, 28-30 June 2005, Sana'a (Yemen). Registered as a legal entity in Türkiye through "Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Turkey, the Organization of the Islamic Conference and the Islamic Conference Youth Forum for Dialogue and Cooperation (ICYF) on the Establishment in Istanbul of the Islamic Conference Youth Forum for Dialogue and Cooperation (ICYF)” - Host Country Agreement signed by Parties concerned 15 May 2008, Ankara (Türkiye), and entered into force by Decree No 2009-15638.

Aims

Build the capacity of OIC youth through strategies, policy frameworks, programs and projects furthering civic engagement, holistic education, capacity-building and best practices addressing the critical problems of unemployment, health and wellness, limited opportunities, extremism and social exclusion while building their capabilities of intellectual and leadership development, scientific and technological innovation, entrepreneurship, media and communication informed by a shared Islamic heritage, culture, and universal values.
