History
1957, on an informal basis. Statutes approved 14 May 1979, Brussels (Belgium). Registered in accordance with Belgian law, 27 Jul 1979. Merged with U-XE5938 - Committee of Common Market Automobile Constructors (CCMC), to form D-XD2552 - European Automobile Manufacturers' Association (ACEA), set up 1 Apr 1991.

Represent the interests and study the problems of automobile manufacturers in EEC.
