Promote intraregional trade in rice among developing countries which are members of the Fund. To this end: (i) undertake or arrange financing and refinancing facilities for rice sales transactions between members involving deferred payments, up to 5 years or on such terms as may from time to time be specified in the rules; the period for refinancing may be extended should resources available so justify; (ii) perform other activities necessary for furtherance of such financing; (iii) initiate other schemes for cooperation in the field of intraregional trade in rice.
