5 Dec 1982, Delhi (India), following Council meeting, 26 Nov 1981, of H-XH0049 - Asian Games Federation (AGF), which had been set up 13 Feb 1949, Delhi, at conference of representatives of Asian countries, and whose constitution was amended 25 Aug 1972, Munich (Germany FR). OCA replaces AGF.
Promote development of Asian identity and Asian unity through sport; help develop in the youth of Asia those physical and moral qualities that come from fair competition in amateur sport, and promote international respect and goodwill among them through sport.
