History
Founded as a regional organization of A-XA1788 - FDI - World Dental Federation, following activities initiated in 1955 with the creation of the Special Commission for European Cooperation of the FDI which was renamed in 1958 to the Regional Commission for Europe.
Aims
Establish closer cooperation between member associations or national committees of FDI in Europe in the fields of research, education and public health in order to improve the dental and general health of all peoples and safeguard the interests of the profession; increase information exchange in the region in the interest of all members.
