Jul 1973, New York NY (USA), by individuals in Western Europe, Japan and North America. Originally set up for 3 years, but continues to be renewed every 3 years. Current triennium to be completed in 2015.
Aims
Encourage closer cooperation among democratic industrialized regions of Western Europe, Pacific Asia and North America on matters of common concern; analyse major issues facing these regions; improve public understanding of such problems; develop and support proposals for handling them jointly; nurture habits and practices of working together.
