History

1979, Havana (Cuba), within the framework of Latin American Economic System (SELA), as a result of an association agreement signed by 8 Latin American and Central American countries: Bolivia Cuba, Costa Rica, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Peru and Venezuela. Ceased to exist.

Aims

Market fertilizers and their raw materials with a view to gradually assuring for the region a supply of fertilizers of better quality at a lower price, improving delivery facilities and promoting sales of participating companies' products in third markets.
