Founded 16 Dec 1987, as Balkan Göçmenleri ve Mülteci Dernekleri Federasyonu -- Federation of Balkan Turks Migrants and Refugees Associations. Also referred to as Federation of Balkan Turks and Associations for Emigrés and as Federation of Balkanite Turks Immigrants and Refugee Associations.
Facilitate adaptation to life in places of refuge of migrants from Balkan countries to Turkey or other countries in order to increase solidarity and find solutions to problems of work, shelter, citizenship and refugee status.
