Research projects include: deforestation, erosion and sedimentation with reference to Bangladesh floods; forecasting of floods and storm surges and collection of greenhouse data; adverse effects of flood on health, nutrition and population; building regional cooperation for flood prevention and control. Other research fields are related to: drought in South Asia and its remedial measures; persistent xenobiotics in biota and consequences for living organisms.
