The UIA is a leading provider of information about international non-profit organizations. The aim of the Open Yearbook is to promote the activities of international non-governmental organizations (INGOs) and intergovernmental organizations (IGOs).

History

11 June 2002, by merger of Association of European Manufacturers of Instantaneous Gas Water Heaters and Wall-Hung Boilers (AFECI) and the previous EHI (2000-2002), founded 30 June 2000, Cologne (Germany), as a merger of European Heating Boilers Association (EBA) and European Committee of Burner Manufacturers (CEB).

Aims

Represent the joint technical and economic interests of the heating industry towards the European Commission, European Parliament and other EU institutions.

Commissions (2): 'Economic', comprising 3 Working Groups: Market Research, Renewable Energies, WEEE; 'Technical', comprising 4 Departments: Burners, Floor-standing boilers, Component integration, Gas fired wall-hung boilers and water heaters; and 2 Working Groups: Energy saving, Energy labelling.
