Founded prior to 1965, as International College of Medicine and Surgery of the Foot -- Collège international de médecine et chirurgie du pied (CIP). In English previously referred to as International College of Foot Medicine and Surgery of the Foot. Present name adopted 1999. Constitution adopted 16 Oct 1999; amended 21 Mar 2013.
Initiate, promote and develop international scientific relations among students of the foot; develop and disseminate knowledge on all aspects of anatomy, physiology and pathology of the foot; represent this branch of the medical science and profession on an international scale.
