25 July 1962, Prague (Czech Rep), on the basis of 'Inter-Governmental Agreement of CEE Countries', following progressive interconnection of power systems since 1953. Statutes revised 1997. Previously known as: Central Control Office for the Combined Power Systems; Central Dispatching Board for the Combined Power Systems; Central Dispatching Organization of the Interconnected Power Systems (CDO IPS). Sometimes referred to by Russian initials CDU or English initials CDO.


Cooperate in electricity generation, transmission, distribution and interconnection of power systems to ensure reliable supply; improve utilization of energy resources.
