As an international network of scholars and social scientists in various academic disciplines: strive to discover the factors facilitating or inhibiting human rights violations, with emphasis on such on gross violations as torture, political killings and disappearances; promote research by scholars and social scientists for the benefit of agencies and organizations combatting human rights violations.
