1984 Harare Zimbabwe
History
1984, Harare (Zimbabwe), at a workshop convened by E-XE0390 - International Development Research Centre (IDRC) and Southern African Development Coordination Conference, and attended by national scientists. Networked and coordinated by U-XE4624 - International Livestock Centre for Africa (ILCA). Ceased to exist on merger with U-XF2056 - African Research Network for Agricultural Byproducts (ARNAB) and U-XF1603 - West and Central African Animal Feed Research (WECAFNET) to form, Mar 1991, Gaberone, U-XF1498 - African Feed Resources Network (AFRNET).
Aims
Strengthen national forage research capabilities through joint planning of collaborative research projects, planning of project implementation strategy and fostering in a collegiate manner reviews and evaluations of implemented projects; enhance the exchange of forage germplasm from ILCA' own genebank and from national and other international sources.
