History

22 Aug 1946, Lyon (France), as International Confederation of the Hairdressing Trade -- Confédération internationale de la coiffure (CIC) -- Confederación Internacional del Peinado -- Internationaler Coiffeurmeister-Verband. Current title adopted, 30 Sep 2000, Berlin (Germany), on merger with U-XK1952 - Organisation artistique internationale de la coiffure (OAI). Registered in accordance with French law.

Aims

Unite national professional organizations in the field of hairdressing and beauty from all countries, so as to promote hairdressing and beauty business on a worldwide basis; promote the spread of new hairdressing lines; promote, organize and implement in-service vocational training; carry out economic, tax and social initiatives in favour of members; represent all hairdressing businesses with respect to the authorities, interprofessional organizations, economic and social organizations and hairdressing and beauty industries internationally.
