July 2003, Copenhagen (Denmark), at 1st General Assembly at the XIth European Congress for Sport Psychology.

Aims

Promote and disseminate knowledge in the field of sport and exercise psychology in the areas of research, education and applied work.

Activities

Collaborates with other governing bodies interested in Sport and Exercise Psychology; coordinates European links between young researchers, educators and professional practitioners; promotes and facilitates a cross-national cooperation for research, education and applied work in the field; encourages young researchers and professionals in the field to enhance the quality of their work; disseminates information; supports the development and standardization of official degrees in Sport and Exercise Psychology within Europe; promotes Sport and Exercise Psychology in sport and exercise governing bodies, sport federations and clubs, health and rehabilitation centres, etc; promotes Sport and Exercise Psychology as an independent branch of study, which intercepts sport science and psychology but is not dependent of any of them. Organizes: meeting (every 4 years, at FEPSAC Congress); workshops.
