History
1950, as an internal organ of C-XC3023 - OECD. Works in the framework of: Regulations applying to staff, former officials, auxiliary staff and employees (Resolution of the Council adopted 30 Sep 1961, amended 21 Dec 1982); Regulations for Council Experts and Consultants (adopted 30 Sep 1961, amended 5 Mar 1963, 21 Dec 1982); and Rules of Procedure (adopted 10 Jun 1983). Activities taken over, Dec 1991, by F-XF5226 - Administrative Tribunal of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development.
Aims
As a genuine administrative tribunal, decide and issue binding decisions on legal grounds in individual disputes arising from decisions by the Secretary-General of OECD which officials, former officials or duly qualified claimants consider as an injury to them.
Structure
Chairman and 2 members of different nationalities (all of whom have a substitute) appointed by the Council and not on the staff of OECD (for 3 years); Secretary, Assistant Secretary.
