History
Originally working under the umbrella of H-XA1752 - International Council for Science (ICSU), functioning as an organization without legal status.
Standing Committee of the IPPCs set up Future Directions Committee at 1995 congress, The Hague (Netherlands), which recommended C-XD7422 - International Association for the Plant Protection Sciences (IAPPS), which was set up at 1999 Congress, Jerusalem (Israel) to provide an umbrella organization for the IPPCs.
Aims
Provide opportunity for professionals in plant protection and related disciplines to meet for the purpose of exchanging information relevant to understanding and management of plant pests.
