Initiate, sponsor and promote Nordic comparative research and Nordic cooperation in social science research; follow developments in social science research and training in Nordic countries; promote exchange of information; promote Nordic contacts regarding participation in the international cooperation in social sciences; stress the importance of a rational utilization of available resources.
