The UIA is a leading provider of information about international non-profit organizations. The aim of the Open Yearbook is to promote the activities of international non-governmental organizations (INGOs) and intergovernmental organizations (IGOs).

1980
History
1980, as core programme of A-XA1945 - International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA) and has been located ever since its creation in the British Library at Boston Spa, which provides accommodation and facilities. Also referred to as IFLA International Programme for UAP. Shares premises with 'IFLA Office for International Lending'. Programme closed 2003.
Aims
Promote access and availability of publications to all categories of users by encouraging and improving policies and procedures for the production and distribution, acquisition, retention, and interlibrary supply of publications within and between countries.
