10 Jun 1979, Algiers (Algeria), at meeting of delegates of bodies entrusted with accounting standardization in African countries, following recommendations of meeting on accounting systems, 14-19 Jun 1976, Kinshasa (Zaire), and of H-XD3027 - Organization of African Unity (OAU) and E-XE4174 - United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (ECA). A specialized institution of OAU.
Aims
Promote accounting harmonization to facilitate the circulation of management information among African countries; promote and carry out studies and research, and encourage education and further training, in accountancy and related fields.
