Founded at 1st General Meeting, with financial support of the E-XE2442 - European Commission (EC), the idea having first been suggested at an evaluation meeting for ex-Erasmus students organized by U-XE0472 - ERASMUS Bureau, Jan 1989, Ghent (Belgium). Statutes adopted 10 Feb 1990; most recently modified 25 Mar 2009.
