The UIA is a leading provider of information about international non-profit organizations. The aim of the Open Yearbook is to promote the activities of international non-governmental organizations (INGOs) and intergovernmental organizations (IGOs).

History
Initial activity to form an International Association of Sport Cities (IASC) began 2004; a formal IASC meeting was held as part of E-AA1448 - SportAccord Convention 2005 and again informally 2007 but did not continue. The effort to create an international association resumed 2015. Officially incorporated Sep 2017.
Aims
Bring together representatives of international destinations to collaborate to generate the best possible value from hosting major sporting and cultural events; provide a voice for not-for-profit hosts of events.
