The UIA is a leading provider of information about international non-profit organizations. The aim of the Open Yearbook is to promote the activities of international non-governmental organizations (INGOs) and intergovernmental organizations (IGOs).

History
Originally, an informal group formed around a project entitled “Preservation of historical printing skills”, whose purpose was to bring together museum specialists with a view to preserving traditional printing skills and techniques. Sep 2012, opened membership to workshops and collectors active in the field of printing heritage. Feb 2014, formally constituted as a not for profit association registered in Brussels (Belgium). Oct 2015, officially opened membership to organizations and individuals beyond its original European remit.
Aims
Encourage the sharing of knowledge, experience, initiatives, and resources in all fields of the graphic arts as they have been practiced from the time of Gutenberg until the present day; encourage co-operation among European printing museums and promote printing heritage as an important part of European cultural heritage.
