Set up 1988, as National Academy of Emergency Medical Dispatch (NAEMD). Also referred to as International Academy of Emergency Dispatch. Subsequently changed title to National Academies of Emergency Dispatch (NAED). Current title adopted 2017.
Advance and support the public-safety emergency telecommunications professional; ensure that citizens in need of emergency, health, and social services are matched safely, quickly, and effectively with the most appropriate resource.
