International Standard for Maritime Pilot Organizations (ISPO) developed by Dutch Maritime Pilot's Association and Lloyds Register, in close cooperation with D-XD5754 - European Maritime Pilots' Association (EMPA). Standard first employed 2005.
Maintain and further develop the standard; communicate between ISPO-certified organizations adn inform them and other interested parties; support potential members and other interested parties in relation to the implementation of the standard; recognize and authorize classification societies as independent bodies for ISPO-certification; administer certificates.
