29 May 2012, Amman (Jordan), following UN General Assembly Resolution 45/72 of 11th December, 1990, signed by 10 countries and endorsing the recommendations of UNISPACE-82, as one of the Regional Centres for Space Science and Technology Education Affiliated to the United Nations within the framework of E-XE0535 - Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space (COPUOS), as part of United Nations Programme on Space Applications (PSA), within E-XJ7585 - United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs (UNOOSA), and in the light of recommendations of H-XF2785 - Global Action Plan for Environment and Development in the 21st Century (Agenda 21).
