Latin American Cooperation of Advanced Networks
Founded 23 Dec 2003, as CLARA, during meeting in Mexico and statutes signed. Initial idea arose in Jun 2002, Toledo (Spain) during a meeting organized within the framework of the CEASAR Project, financed by European Commission DG IST Programme. Subsequent meetings followed in: Rio de Janeiro (Brazil); Buenos Aires (Argentina); Santiago (Chile); Mexico. Current title adopted Mar 2011.
Serve as a Latin American collaboration system by means of telecommunications advanced networks for research, innovation and education.
