The UIA is a leading provider of information about international non-profit organizations. The aim of the Open Yearbook is to promote the activities of international non-governmental organizations (INGOs) and intergovernmental organizations (IGOs).

History

Proposed by Croatian Ministry of Economy, Labour and Entrepreneurship, at meeting of National Charter Coordinators (NCCs) from the SEE countries, 15 Oct 2008, Zagreb (Croatia), following initial discussions launched 2006.

Activities launched Jul 2009. Project closed Dec 2016.

Aims

Promote policy-based integration of entrepreneurial learning into national systems of pre-accession countries of South East Europe (SEE); support all participating countries in the alignment of policies and practice in lifelong entrepreneurial learning with those of the European Union; identify other global models that may enhance the role of entrepreneurial learning in the context of knowledge-driven, small entreprise-dominated and highly competitive economies.

Steering Committee, consisting of: National Coordinators from South East Europe of the European Charter for Small Enterprises, including an official representative of Turkey responsible for relevant activities; Representatives of national line ministries responsible for the human capital dimensions of the European Charter for Small Enterprises; E-XE2442 - European Commission (EC) (DG for Enlargement and DG Enterprise and Industry); representative each of F-XF1462 - European Training Foundation (ETF) and F-XM3681 - Regional Cooperation Council (RCC). Management Support Team, comprising 3 national coordinators. Director.
