Aims

Promote contact and cooperation among lecturers of all disciplines; develop a body of professional expertise; provide a forum for discussion of common problems and exchange of information, experience, views and ideas.

Activities

Organizes annual conferences and workshops: Maritime Education and Training (since 1980); International Navigation Simulator Lecturers Conference (INSLC) (since 1980); International Maritime English Conference (IMEC) (since 1981 - previously Workshop on Maritime English WOME); International Conference on Engine Room Simulators (ICERS) (since 1993); Workshop on Maritime English in Asia (WOME A) (since 1997). Also organizes occasional conferences on specialized topics, and co-organizes international maritime conferences.
