The UIA is a leading provider of information about international non-profit organizations. The aim of the Open Yearbook is to promote the activities of international non-governmental organizations (INGOs) and intergovernmental organizations (IGOs).

History

1967, as European Chemical Marketing Research Association (ECMRA) - Association européenne de recherches sur les marchés de produits chimiques, as a Component Industrial Division of Federation of European Marketing Research Associations (FEMRA). Separate secretariat set up Nov 1991. Also referred to as European Association for Business Research, Planning and Development in the Chemical Industry. Has taken over activities of FEMRA. Dissolved as of 31 Dec 2010.

Aims

Contribute to improved management and performance of the European chemical industry by becoming the recognized centre of excellence for application of appropriate marketing, business research and planning techniques in corporate, business, product, marketing and planning management and by communicating these techniques and the results of their application.

Organizes annual conference and a range of seminar programmes; encourages formation of local and special interest groups; researches and responds to members' needs through developing and introducing new products and services; provides online information on intellectual property in members' zone.
