History
13 Jul 1955, with Secretariat-General at Nogent-sur-Marne (France), on ratification of Convention on African Migratory Locust of 15 May 1952, Paris (France). Most former French, Belgian and British territories in Africa South of Sahara adhered to a new Convention, 25 May 1962, Kano (Nigeria), superseding that of 1952. Original name: International Administrative Council for the Supervision and Preventive Control of the African Migratory Locust -- Conseil administratif international pour la surveillance et la lutte préventive contre le criquet migrateur africain. Included Comité international de lutte contre les criquets africains, established, 1981, Lomé (Togo). Ceased activities in 1985.
