History
1970, within the framework of B-XB3501 - World Council of Churches (WCC). Following restructuring of WCC, 1992, no longer exists.
Aims
Reflect on an ecumenical vision of development which puts people first; stimulate action and reflection within the ecumenical movement regarding human development; find new and more equitable forms of ecumenical sharing of resources. Function as an ecumenical network of people who: understand human development in the context of social and economic justice, people's participation, and fulfilling basic human needs; are committed to solidarity with the poor in their quest for justice and participation as agents of change.
