Promote and support wind energy development on the African continent by facilitating exchange of political and technical information, expertise and experience in the wind energy sector; further wind energy interests of Africa, in particular, and developing countries in general; serve as an influential umbrella organisation representing the sector in Africa and thus assisting interaction and cooperation between all energy players; advance regional cooperation by encouraging communication and collaboration between other African wind energy and renewable energy member committees in Africa to promote renewable energy policy goals which contribute to economic development, alleviation of poverty, protection of the environment and improving quality of life for people in Africa.
