1969, Basel (Switzerland), at 1st International Symposium on EPH-Gestosis. The organization is acting as Society for the Study of Pathophysiology of Pregnancy and International Society for Research in EPH-Gestosis. Constituted in accordance with Swiss Civil Legal Code.
Promote the study of EPH / edema, proteinurea, hypertension/ - Gestosis pathophysiology of pregnancy; internationalize nomenclature and classification, both as a basis for diagnosis and therapy and as a comparative technique; standardize methods of investigation; serve as a documentation centre; foster the exchange of scientists: recommend measures for prophylaxis and treatment of EPH gestosis.
