History
St George's (Grenada), upon signing of the Treaty of St Georges, 4 May 2000. Establishment followed a decision by participating states to work together for the liberalization and development of the telecommunications sector. Also known as Eastern Caribbean Telecommunications Regulatory Authority.
Aims
Promote open entry, market liberalization and competition in telecommunications in member countries.
Structure
Council of Ministers, comprising Ministers of the contracting states responsible for telecommunications and Director General of D-XF4346 - Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) (ex officio). Board of Directors; Secretariat headed by Managing Director.
