Promote exchanges among all interested in the period of the Dukes of Burgundy and the first Habsbourgs, at the junction between mediaeval and modern times in the Western world, especially covering the area between the North Sea, the Rhine and Danube and the Mediterranean Sea, where political, economic and cultural relationships appeared most intense.
