Founded 13 Sep 1981, Sant' Ambrogio di Valpolicella (Italy), when U-XE0510 - Fédération de l'industrie marbrière de la Communauté économique européenne (FIMCEE) and H-XD1519 - Fédération de l'industrie granitière européenne (FIGE) combined to form a single organization, originally with the title Federation of the Marble Industry and the Granite Industry of the European Economic Community -- Fédération de l'industrie marbrière et de l'industrie granitière de la Communauté économique européenne (FIMIGCEE).

Aims

Promote, in a European cooperative framework, the development of national industries working with marble, granite, onyx and other ornamental natural stones, whether for scientific or technical research, cultural expansion, harmonization of human and social relations, economic promotion or safeguarding the environment.
