Nov 1989, Avetonou (Togo). Became operational Apr 1990. In English also referred to as West and Central African Forage Research Network. Merged, Mar 1991, together with U-XF0903 - Pasture Network for Eastern and Southern Africa (PANESA) and U-XF2056 - African Research Network for Agricultural Byproducts (ARNAB), to form U-XF1498 - African Feed Resources Network (AFRNET).
