Founded 5 Oct 2002, Bled (Slovenia), following initiatives of the co-Presidents (former Prime Minister of France, Michel Rocard and President of Slovenia, Milan Kucan), Mar 2001. Also referred to as International Ethical Collegium and International Ethical, Political and Scientific Collegium.
Promote dialogue among leading thinkers and actors in the realms of science, politics and ethical philosophy; produce guidelines for effective action on a global agenda having integrity and political viability; pool the high ethical standards of members, their political and scientific wisdom and experience and their diversity so as to provide new and relevant approaches to facing threatened world crises and the increasingly interdependent global society.
