Currently also referred to as Université par satellite. Ceased to exist, prior to 2008.
Provide tertiary education in the French language through video transmission of educational programmes; integrate new information and communication technology, particularly email techniques, into distance education, so as to improve interaction between students and educators and develop auto-evaluation.Available with paid subscription only.
Students from Sub-Saharan Africa, Southeast Asia, the Caribbean, Central and Eastern Europe and Mashreq, Maghreb and Indian Ocean countries receive free of charge all educational materials needed for distance education, together with help in acquiring documentation (books and periodicals) and privileged access to Réseau international des centres SYFED-REFER.
