Founded on the initiative of H-XD4088 - Arab Industrial Development Organization (AIDO) and D-XD0433 - Council of Arab Economic Unity (CAEU).

Aims

Assist members in marketing their products in Arab markets and in dealing with international markets as a cooperative group; assist in procuring raw and intermediate materials and in production requirements at best terms, and facilitate exchange of these materials among Arab countries; furnish members with statistics and commercial, economic and technical information relating to engineering industries; improve vocational, technical and professional capabilities of staff in engineering industries; carry out technical and economic feasibility studies, alone or in cooperation with other parties; assist in acquiring 'know-how rights' from all over the industrial world and encourage exchange of know-how among members for the benefit of Arab countries; act as conciliator and arbitrator in disputes between members and non-members when required.
